This research is about the reading habits of professional people who graduated from theology, residents of the northern region of the state of Santa Catarina. Theologians have as a nature study the exercise of understanding, reading and interpreting the books that base the theological knowledge, books based on studies that have several bases. Among these, we can cite the philosophy, religion, hermeneutics, systematics, among others. From this observation, we seek to discover, through qualitative research with five open-ended questions, which reading habits are indeed present in the lives of theologians. Under this circumstance, there is the possibility of detecting whether or not the influence of the course on a personal level as well as what are the preferences and whether or not there is a direct relation with the habits developed during the graduation. The ten respondents are bachelors in theology, of which four are in the exercise of ministry in the community and the others are teachers in a Theology college. It was found that the reading habits of the subjects studied are, besides those already assumptions, others that, in some cases, were unpredictable. The main authors that supported this research are Galvão (2004), Raymond (2009) and the Instituto Pró-Livro (2011).
