The purpose of this article is to analyze the contributions of Justin Martyr to Christian apologetics in the early days of the Church. Having as reference the Apology of Justin, but also taking up other apologetic texts that marked the period, the analysis follows f ive fundamental questions (accusations), as well as the Christian apologist’s reply to each one. The issues to be discussed are: the problem of prosecution based solely on the “Christian” name, the accusation of atheism directed at Christ’s disciples, the rumor that Christians practiced immoral acts in their hidden meetings, the problem of social order, as well as the attribution of the crisis of the Empire to the advance of Christianity.
